On deconflicting local coordination among agents

چکیده
For conflict resolution between local coordination modules of distributed agents, synthesized based on inter-agent constraints, two original ideas are proposed. The first is a designer-comprehensible Distributed Constraint Specification Network (DCSN) for describing the constraint relationships among agents. The second is an algorithm using cutset theory for generating, from a given DCSN, an AND/OR graph compactly representing all conflict resolution plans. A case study is presented.

Multiagent Conflict Resolution for a Specification Network of Discrete-Event Coordinating Agents
This paper presents a novel compositional approach to distributed coordination module (CM) synthesis for multiple discrete-event agents in the formal languages and automata framework. The approach is supported by two original ideas. The first is a new formalism called the Distributed Constraint Specification Network (DCSN) that can comprehensibly describe the networking constraint relationships...
متن کاملCoordination Approach to Find Best Defense Decision with Multiple Possibilities among Robocup Soccer Simulation Team
In 2D Soccer Simulation league, agents will decide based on information and data in their model. Effective decisions need to have world model information without any noise and missing data; however, there are few solutions to omit noise in world model data; so we should find efficient ways to reduce the effect of noise when making decisions. In this article we evaluate some simple solutions whe...
متن کاملLocal Coordination in Online Distributed Constraint Optimization Problems
In cooperative multi-agent systems, group performance often depends more on the interactions between team members, rather than on the performance of any individual agent. Hence, coordination among agents is essential to optimize the group strategy. One solution which is common in the literature is to let the agents learn in a joint action space. Joint Action Learning (JAL) enables agents to exp...
متن کاملComparing Software Architectures for Coordination Languages
We discuss three software architectures for coordination. All architectures are based on agents. Each agent has a local dataspace that contains shared distributed replicated data. The three architectures diier in the way agents communicate: either through an unordered broadcast, through an atomic broadcast, or through a synchronization among all agents. We rst show how to represent both data-dr...

A decentralized multiagent system comprises agents who act autonomously based on local knowledge. Achieving coordination in such a system is nontrivial, but is essential in most applications, where disjointed or incoherent behavior would be undesirable. Coordination in decentralized systems is a richer phenomenon than previously believed. In particular, ve major attributes are crucial: the exte...
